Telangana Police SI Eligibility Details: Telangana State level Police Recruitment Board (TSLPRB) eligibility details for the following posts are given below…

Eligibility Criteria:
Age limit: Candidates age should be between 21-25 years for Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police, Sub Inspector, 18-30 years for Station Fire Officer.
Age Relaxation: The upper age limit prescribed above will be relaxable as under:
i) Upto a maximum of five years if a candidate belongs to a Backward Class or a Scheduled Caste or a Scheduled Tribe.
ii) Length of regular service limited upto a maximum of five years if a candidate is an employee of Telangana State Government. (Employees of TSTRANSCO, Discoms, TSGENCO, State Road Transport Corporation and other Telangana State Corporations, Municipalities, Local bodies, Public Sector under takings etc. are not entitled for age relaxation). The service certificate as shown in Annexure IX.
iii) Three years in addition to the length of service rendered in the Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union for the candidates who served in the Army, Navy or Air Force of the Indian Union.
iv) Three years in addition to the length of service rendered as a whole time Cadet Corps Instructor in NCC provided the candidate has rendered a minimum service of 6 months as a whole time Cadet Corps Instructor in NCC.
v) Upto a maximum of three years if a candidate is a retrenched temporary employee in the State Census Department with a minimum service of 6 months during 1991.



For Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police (Civil & AR) (For Women candidates): In the case of a widow, a divorced woman or a woman judicially separated from her husband, and who is not remarried:
a) The candidate if she is an SC or ST, must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 40 years on 01-07-2016 i.e., she must have been born not earlier than 02-07-1976 and not later than 01-07-1998.
b) In the case of all other categories other than SC & ST, the candidate must have attained the age of 18 years and must not have attained the age of 35 years as on 01-07-2016 i.e., she must have been born not earlier than 02-07-1981 and not later than 01-07-1998.
Educational Qualification: Candidates should possess Degree awarded by any University in India, established or incorporated by or under a Central Act, Provisional Act of State or of any institution recognised by the University Grants Commission or any other equivalent qualification. In the case of a candidate belonging to Scheduled Castes or Scheduled Tribes, he/she must have passed Intermediate or any other examination recognized by the Telangana State Government as being equivalent to Intermediate and should have studied 3 years Degree course.



Medical Standards:
1. Eye Sight: Visual Standards required shall be as follows:

b. Each eye must have a full field of vision.
c. Colour blindness, squint or any morbid condition of the eye or lids of either eye shall be deemed to be a disqualification.
2. The candidate should possess sound health and be free from any bodily defect or infirmity which will render him unfit for the posts notified.
3. Candidates who have the following ailments or defects will not be considered for recruitment to any post specified in this rule
a. Physically handicapped
b. Knocking-knees, pigeon chest, flat foot, Vericose veins, Hammer toes, fractured limbs, decayed teeth, stammering, hard of hearing and abnormal psychological behaviour.

PAPER IV (Descriptive Type):
The candidates can choose to have one of the languages i.e., either Telugu or Urdu and should indicate their choice as and when asked for by the recruiting authority. Option once exercised will be final and a candidate will not be allowed to change it subsequently.

2. Physical Electronics, Electron Devices and ICs: Different types of diodes and their characteristics, Bipolar junction transistors, Field transistors, Field effect transistors, power switching devices like SCRs, CTOs, power MOSFETs Basics of ICs-bipolar, MOS and CMOS types, Basics of Opto- Electronics.
3. Network Theory: Network analysis techniques; Network theorem, transient and steady state sinusoidal response, Transmission criteria: delay and rise time Elmore’s and other definition, effect of cascading. Elements of network synthesis.

Scanning, Synchronization, Composite Video Signals, aspect ratio, resolution, flickering, pictures, sound broad casting in F.M., V.H.F. and U.H.F. Selection Process: The Selection Procedure/ Scheme of the Exam & Exam Pattern as follows:

1. Preliminary Written Test:
i. All the eligible candidates applied for the various posts, shall be required to appear for the Preliminary Written Test in one paper (three hours duration) for 200 marks.
ii. Questions in written test will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages.
Note: The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the Preliminary Written Test in the paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen.

2. Physical Measurements Test (PMT): The candidates qualified in the above preliminary written test have to undergo Physical Measurements Test and should meet the following requirements.
a. For all Posts (for men candidates):
i. Height: Must not be less than 167.6 cms.
ii. Chest: Must not be less than 86.3 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 5 cms.
b. For Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police (Civil & AR) (for women candidates):
i. Height: Must not be less than 152.5 cms
Provided that in the case of candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribes and aboriginal tribes in the agency areas of Mahaboobnagar, Adilabad, Warangal and Khammam districts should meet the following requirements:
a. For all Posts (for men candidates):
i. Height: Must not be less than 160 cms.
ii. Chest: Must not be less than 80 cms round the chest on full inspiration with a minimum expansion of 3 cms.
b. For Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police (Civil & AR) (for women candidates):
i. Height: Must not be less than 150 cms


3. Physical Efficiency Test (PET): The candidates qualified in the above Physical Measurements Test will be required to undergo the following tests and qualify as specified below:
i. For all Posts (Men candidates): Candidates must qualify in any of the three (3) events which includes 800 mtrs run, out of the five (5) events of the Physical Efficiency Test as detailed below:

i. The minimum marks to be secured by the candidates in order to qualify in the final written examination paper is 40% for OCs, 35% for BCs and 30% for SCs/ STs/ Ex-Servicemen.
ii. Questions in written examination will be objective in nature and will be set in English, Telugu and Urdu languages.
iii. The appearance in all the Tests and Written Examination is compulsory. Absence in any of the above Tests/ Examination, will automatically render his/ her candidature to be rejected.
iv. Mere securing minimum qualifying marks does not vest any right to a candidate for being considered for selection.


5. FINAL SELECTION :
i. For all Posts: The final selection will be made strictly on relative merit of the candidates in each category, as obtained by them based on their score in the final written examination out of a maximum of 200 marks and as per the provisions of “The Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organization of Local cadres and regulation of direct recruitment) Order, 1975” and its amendments. As per G.O.Ms.No.124 General Administration (SPF.A) Department, dated 07-03-2002, while filling up the vacancies, the first 30 % of posts should be filled following combined merit list of locals and non-locals (i.e., Open Category) and thereafter, the remaining 70% of the posts shall be filled up by locals only.
ii. For Stipendiary Cadet Trainee (SCT) Sub Inspector of Police (AR): The final selection will be made strictly on relative merit of the candidates in each category, as obtained by them based on their score in the final written examination (Papers I and II (for 200 marks) and Physical Efficiency Test (for 125 marks) totaling to 325 marks and as per the provisions of “The Andhra Pradesh Public Employment (Organization of Local Cadres and Regulation of Direct Recruitment) Order, 1975” and as per G.O. Ms. No. 124 General Administration (SPF.A) Dept., dated 07-03-2002 while filling up the vacancies, the first 30% of posts should be filled following combined merit list of locals and non-locals and thereafter, the remaining 70% of the posts shall be filled up by locals only.

6. Preference: When two or more candidates in a particular category obtain equal marks, preference will be given to the candidate who was born earlier.
Reservation to Local Candidates: Reservation to local candidates is applicable as provided in the Rules and as amended from time to time as in force on the date of notification.

The candidate’s understanding of the English language, its correct usage and their writing ability would be tested. Questions on short essay, comprehension, précis, letter writing, paragraph writing / report writing, translation from English to Telugu etc. would be included.
PAPER IV (Descriptive Type):
The candidates can choose to have one of the languages i.e., either Telugu or Urdu and should indicate their choice as and when asked for by the recruiting authority. Option once exercised will be final and a candidate will not be allowed to change it subsequently.

Test of Reasoning: It will include questions of both verbal & non-verbal type and include question on analogies, similarities and differences, spatial visualisation, spatial orientation, problem solving, analysis, judgment, decision making, visual memory etc.
PAPER III: Technical Paper (Objective Type) (200 Questions) (200 Marks)

Materials and Components: Structure of properties of Electronic Engineering, materials, conductors, semiconductors and insulators, magnetic, ferroelectric, piezoelectric, ceramic, optical and superconducting materials. Passive components and characteristics, Resistors, Capacitors and Inductors; Ferrites, Quartz crystal, Ceramic resonators, Electromagnetic and Electromechanical components.
